The Indigenous Preservation Project
Scholarship Program
To raise awareness as to the causes, consequences and treatment of the Indigenous people, The Indigenous Preservation Project is seeking to reward essay applicants scholarships- for students entering college or already enrolled in a higher education institution. The aim of the scholarships are to bring attention to the exploitation of the Indigenous communities’ land, voting rights, culture and healing practices. In addition, under resourced services and a lack of Indigenous mental health professionals, combined with the legacy of genocide and cultural oppression, continue the disparities between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous mental health care. The scholarship is open to any major who can shed light on these issues. It may be a personal story that you can share or a more researched essay.
